APOLLO'S EYE  (New Work)  (click detail to view full size image)

Ben Dodds, Director of Three5 Contemporary, Art Gallery, has invited Adrian to show his latest work in their new space at Limassol, Cyprus. The title of the show is Apollo's Eye. These four monumental pictures started out a few years ago when the artist was making 'plein air' images next to a small pond on the Island of Jersey. Many paintings and several exhibitions later this latest series ‘Apollo’s Eye’ has come about. A companion series of four circular 1190mm diameter paintings entitled 'The Four Seasons' will form part of the show. The show takes place from 21st May 2010 till June 4th. The Private View is 20th May.

THE DENIS COSGROVE MEMORIAL PAINTING

UCLA Provost, Scott Waugh has fomally accepted 'AMERICAN MONUMENT'  a major painting by Adrian Hemming. The painting is a tribute to the late holder of the Humbolt Chair of Human Geography, Prof. Denis Cosgrove.  The work is waiting for shipment to Los Angeles where it will be hung on campus exact location to be decided.

THE BOOK

A book about Adrian and his work over the last 30 yeas will be published in early 2010 to coincide with his next major exhibition in London.  Contributors include; Paul Bonaventura, Richard Wentworth, The late Prof. Denis Cosgrove, Adam Gray and Patrick Davies.
